What about a little Smarter Planet marketing on the Lotus Notes splash page?

One of the great assets IBM has in its shrinking Lotus Notes install base is that the Lotus Notes software faces millions of users every day, all day.

What could be a better place to put "Smarter Planet" messages?  That would be a win-win situation:  IBM could cross-market and the Lotus Notes users would get a little emotional kick from being part of the Smarter Planet.

What a great idea! It could even be dynamic, loading new info from an XPages server at Lotus Notes runtime.

It could have links to new IBM offerings, Social software updates, etc.

100 million times a day, IBM could then say "We make great software. Take a look!"
